How do I register to attend?

Registration is now open and can be completed on our Registration page. For additional questions regarding registration for the conference, please contact SME Customer Service at cs@smenet.org or 303.948.4200. To receive early bird registration rates, SME must receive your registration and payment by August 22, 2024. Regular registration rates apply August 23, 2024 to September 24, 2024. After September 24, 2024, on-site registration fees apply.

How do I obtain a visa to attend the conference?

SME will provide any international delegates with assistance in obtaining a visa and appropriate use of passports. Find more information on the International Attendees page.

How can I get a copy of an invoice or receipt?

To download a copy of your registration receipt, please visit www.smenet.org, login to your SME account using your email and password, visit My Profile and view My Meetings. Click on View Registration to obtain a copy of your receipt. You may also contact SME Meetings at meetings@smenet.org or SME Customer Service at 303.948.4200 or cs@smenet.org with receipt/invoice inquiries.

If I pre-register, when do I receive my badge and conference materials?

All badges and conference related materials will be distributed onsite at the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center. Please reference the Schedule for open registration times.

What does my full conference registration include?

The full conference registration fee includes an electronic copy of the proceedings, participation in all technical sessions, Sunday Reception, Tuesday’s Cultural Event Reception, Wednesday’s Awards Banquet, access to the exhibit hall and exhibit hall social functions including:

  • Monday lunch
  • Monday reception
  • Tuesday lunch
  • Wednesday lunch
  • Thursday lunch
Are short courses included in the registration?

Short courses and workshops require an additional registration fee to attend.

What are the exhibit hall hours?

The exhibit hall is open:

Monday, September 30, 2024 | Noon – 7:30 pm
Tuesday, October 1, 2024 | Noon – 6:00 pm
Wednesday, October 2, 2024 | Noon – 6:00 pm
Thursday, October 3, 2024 | Noon – 2:00 pm

These times are subject to change.

When does on-site registration for attendees open?

Onsite registration for all attendees and exhibitors will open on Sunday, September 29 at noon at the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center.

Is there a one-day registration option?

The XXXI IMPC was designed as a total conference experience, therefore there are no one-day or exhibit hall only registration options available.

May I bring a guest to meals and social functions?

All guests need to be registered and must wear an official badge to functions. Spouse/companion registration includes access to evening functions including:

  • Sunday reception
  • Monday exhibit hall reception
  • Tuesday Cultural Event reception
  • Wednesday Awards Banquet

There will also be optional add-on tours available for spouses/companions.

The spouse/companion registration is intended for those not employed in the industry and does not include admission to technical sessions. SME reserves the right to cancel, without notice, a guest registration suspected to be used for a professional, an exhibitor and/or a sponsor.

How do I change my address or other contact information?

To edit your contact information, please visit www.smenet.org, login to your SME account using your email and password, visit My Profile and view My Contact Information. Click on Edit button next to either your address or phone number to edit your contact information. You may also contact SME Meetings at meetings@smenet.org or SME Customer Service at 303.948.4200 or cs@smenet.org with questions about updating your contact information.

What is the refund and cancellation policy for conference registration?

If circumstances require you to cancel your IMPC 2024 registration, you must do so in writing. Written notice must be sent to meetings@smenet.org or by mail to SME IMPC Conference Registration, c/o SME, 12999 E. Adam Aircraft Circle, Englewood, CO 80112. Cancellations received on or before August 29, 2024 will receive a full refund, less a $100 processing fee. There are no refunds for no-shows and registration cancellations postmarked after August 29, 2024. NO REFUNDS for ticketed events will be issued after the August 29 deadline.

Registrants are responsible for the cancellation of their own hotel accommodations.

Why should I stay at one of the meeting’s official hotels?

SME makes every effort to keep down the financial costs associated with attending IMPC. Our team works hard to negotiate low rates at hotels that are not only located within close proximity, but also maintain high standards so our attendees enjoy all aspects of the conference. In addition, SME commits to a block of rooms at the hotel on behalf of conference attendees and has a financial obligation to fill the block. By staying within the block you are not only supporting the association, but you are also helping to create opportunities for valuable networking outside of the convention center.

How do I reserve housing for IMPC 2024?

The Gaylord National Harbor is offering reduced overnight rates exclusively for XXXI IMPC attendees. A limited number of rooms are available on a first-come, first-served basis for $229 per night plus taxes and a mandatory $27 resort fee per night. Once that room block is full, a reduced rate of $299 per night plus taxes and a mandatory $27 resort fee per night will be available.

The only way to register for either of these rates is through an exclusive link that will be emailed with your registration confirmation. These reduced rates are not available by contacting the Gaylord National Harbor directly. If you have registered and paid in full for IMPC, but have not received your email confirmation with the housing link, please contact SME Customer Service at 303.948.4200 or cs@smenet.org to request.
